Extremely
rugged and reliable, the 4001 Bag Leak/Broken Bag Detector monitors the
exhaust ducts of dust collectors. Once configured to measure normal
(baseline) leakage inherent with all dust collectors, TRIBO.guard
senses the dust level in collector exhaust air and compares it with an
adjustable set point. Through the relay output, the detector can sound
an alarm if emissions increase beyond an acceptable level. The 4011 is a
reliable flow/no flow detector used to monitor the flow of dry solids in
bulk handling and pneumatic conveying systems.
TRIBO.guard Detectors use the original triboelectric technology,
introduced by Auburn nearly twenty-five years ago. The detectors measure
triboelectricity (also referred to as frictional electrification), an
electric charge transfer which results when dust particles collide with
the sensor probe. Upon detecting the signal created by the onset of a
bag leak, TRIBO.guard Detectors activate a relay contact,
initiating an alarm or operational function. Unlike optical devices that
rely on clean, aligned lenses and indirect measurement of light
transmission, TRIBO.guard Bag Leak/Broken Bag Detectors are a
virtually maintenance-free, direct method of dust collector leak
detection. Auburn’s proprietary TRIBO.series provides the most
reliable, repeatable, and linear bag leak/broken bag detection systems
available today.
TRIBO.guard Detectors are available with an integral sensor
configuration in a NEMA 4 enclosure or with a remote sensor
configuration in a NEMA 4/7/9 electronics enclosure and NEMA 4X sensor
enclosure. An optional window front allows personnel to check
performance without opening the enclosure.
TRIBO.series
dust detectors incorporate triboelectric technology, developed
exclusively by Auburn, now updated and improved to address more
challenging dust collector maintenance and performance requirements
appearing in, virtually, every materials manufacturing industry.
